Jeff became the Lead Pastor at Memorial in 2020, after serving as MBC's Youth and Family Pastor since 2011. Jeff is married to Shannon, and they have five kids. Jeff is a graduate of Cedarville University and Grace Seminary and brings a heart for discipleship, Biblical teaching, and a love for the community and their families. His life verse has been Proverbs 3:5-6, and hopes to share of the abundant life that comes from trusting in the Lord with all your heart.

Jeff’s hobbies include going on dates with his wife, sports, playing games and watching movies with his kids, writing, thrift store shopping, and trying to make people laugh. 

Pastor Jeff has written a devotional book on the Psalms called "Bottom Line". Bottom Line is filled with real life lessons, hard-hitting challenges, humorous tales, and exciting interaction with the book of Psalms. Tweens, teenagers, and young adults alike will find this devotional powerful and life changing.

Jacob became MBC’s Associate Pastor in 2020. Jacob married his wife Carolyn in July of 2018. Jacob has an undergraduate and M.Div. from Cedarville University, where he graduated in 2020. God has given him a desire to care for and minister to students and families in the community. Jacob has a passion for discipleship and is eager to see the impact that discipleship and community outreach will have on Columbus. Jacob knows that life is full of struggles, suffering, and obstacles but wants to remind people that we have the ability to find true rest and satisfaction in the Lord (Hebrews 4:1-13).

Jacob’s hobbies include going on long drives with his wife, watching movies, reading, all things sports, playing video games with his friends, and finding the humor in everything. Pastor Jacob is active on twitter and other social media sites.

Pastor Tom Wright was the senior pastor of MBC for 41 years. In 2020, he was honored to become our Pastor Emeritus. He and his wife Sue have four children and thirteen grandchildren. Pastor Wright is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Trinity College, and Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pa. He enjoys football, basketball (Go Bucks!!), soccer, swimming, water skiing (well, he used to be able to do that!) and along with Sue...camping, hiking, biking, and reading! Both Pastor and Sue love to serve along with all the people at MBC. Pastor Wright is committed to intentional discipleship.

Personal Note:

I believe that one should not live life without knowing Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in John 3 that unless a person is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. It is an overwhelming realization to come to...that we are sinners, and that God is absolutely Holy. Astounding as it may sound to us, God in love sacrificed His only unique Son on the cross that we might be saved. God calls on us to repent of our sins and to place all of our trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. If there is an emptiness in your heart today, only Jesus Christ can fill it. I encourage you to put your complete trust in Christ alone without delay. If we can help you on your spiritual journey we would count it a privilege to do so.
